David Foster and Toby Scrupski

Social Security

April 29-May 22

Written by Andrew Bergman and directed by Patrick Fee, and assistant director, Zack Schlag

Manhattan art gallery owners Barbara and David Kahn, are about to have their priveledged life style disrupted by family. Envious housewife sister Trudy deposits their eccentric mother Sophie on the couple's Upper East side doorstep.
Domestic tranquility is further shattered when the Kahn’s introduce forthright, walker-thumping bossy Sophie to one of their best clients, a famous aging artist Maurice Koenig. He offers to paint Sophie’s portrait and soon begins to brighten her life in ways she never expected in her twilight years.
Penny pinching and free spending collide amidst family dynamics and jealousies and the realization that seniors never lose interest in the opposite sex! Elder care and family responsibilities cross paths with matters of the heart.
