Special Trunk Show and Sale
Sylvia Gottwald: Cultured Designs

Friday, May 20
2:30 - 6 pm

This special trunk show will feature the work of Sylvia Gottwald.
The exhibition, Sylvia Gottwald: Cultured Designs, is on display at the Museum through May 22, 2011. Cultured Designs showcases a cross section of materials and forms created over the last 10 years of Gottwald’s career as a jewelry designer.
Because Gottwald is sensitive to ecology and the sustainability of marine life, she incorporates only those shells and pearls that can be gathered from sustainable farms, including the non-endangered abalone, paua and Turbo Marmoratus shells from the Far East.
While many viewers will admire the beauty and elegance of her work, it is also hoped that her work will draw additional attention to the plight of the sensitive ecology of the Eastern Shore, Chesapeake Bay and overall world.

Church Hill Theatre

Auditions for "Ravenscroft"

May 13 7pm – 9pm
May 14 9am to 11am
May 15 1pm to 3pm

Church Hill Theatre will be holding auditions for the mystery thriller "Ravenscroft," by Don Nigro, Friday, May 13 from 7 pm to 9 pm, Saturday, May 14 from 9 am to 11 am, and Sunday, May 15 from 1 pm to 3 pm. The director of the production is Chestertown resident, CHT director and past Board member Earl Lewin.
The cast includes 1 man and 5 women. The male character should be portrayed between 35 and 55 years old. Three women should be portrayed in a similar age bracket. One character is a 16 year old girl. One character is an older woman. It is not necessary for actors to be exactly these ages as long as they can play a character that is representative. The script is a sophisticated comedy and requires the ability to handle quick witty subtle dialogue. Those interested in auditioning should come prepared to do cold readings from the script.
The performances of Ravenscroft are scheduled for weekends August 5 through August 21. For further information, call the CHT office at 410-758-1331 and all questions will be forwarded to the director. http://www.churchhilltheatre.org/
